About Cedar Run

Veterinary care that feels a little different.

Dr. Holloway opened Cedar Run in 2008 with one clear goal: a vet clinic where the experience is as good as the medicine. Seventeen years later, our clients — and their pets — keep coming back.

From our clients

Happy pets, grateful owners.

Dr. Holloway has been caring for our lab mix for six years now. She remembers everything about him and always explains things in plain English. We'd follow her anywhere.
Beth K.
Newville
Our cat absolutely hates the vet. But at Cedar Run the team moved so slowly and gently that she barely fussed. The whole experience was different from anywhere else we've been.
Tom & Renee F.
Carlisle
They fit us in same-day when our dog ate something he shouldn't have. Calm, efficient, and they called to check on him the next morning. That kind of care is hard to find.

Good to know

Questions new clients ask us.

How do I become a new patient?

Just give us a call or fill out our contact form and we'll get your pet set up. For your first visit, plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can get records started. We welcome dogs, cats, and most small pets.

What should I bring to the first appointment?

If you have prior vet records or vaccination history, those are helpful — but don't worry if you don't. Bring your pet in a carrier or on a leash, and jot down any questions or concerns so we make sure to cover everything.

What do I do if my pet has an emergency after hours?

We're open Monday–Friday 8–6 and Saturday 8–12 for urgent sick visits. For after-hours emergencies, we refer clients to the Animal Emergency & Referral Center in Harrisburg. Their number is always available on our voicemail.

Do you accept pet insurance, and what payment methods do you take?

We accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks. We work with most pet insurance plans on a reimbursement basis — we'll provide itemized records to submit your claim. Ask us about CareCredit for larger procedures.

Ready to schedule your pet's visit?

New patients are always welcome. Reach out and we'll find a time that works — or call and we'll pick up.
